Our judging panel at the first #oceangeneration Hackathon we’re tasked with deciding which team offered the best and most realistic tech idea! One great contender was Elija team. They came up with a nifty idea to help people in natural disasters who couldn’t access money. A special type of machine that stranded people could tap if they had no access to a bank or cash #dadlihack

As the year began, #oceangeneration traveled to #antiguaandbarbuda to host our first ever #Hackathon. We connected tech teams from around the world, to come together and build ideas to help small islands prepare, recover and repair from natural disasters, often made worse by #climatechange - Along with education workshops, first hand experience of the devastation caused, and some world changing tech solutions, our trip was a huge success!
