all the things you don’t want, piled onto you, oozing in, leaking out. all the cracks you shouldn’t have, all the flaws and fractures that can’t be catalogued, criss-crossing with everything that can, useless maps, crevices to get lost in, pits to open up under your stumbling feet— the dark waiting to meet you, you, who is everything everywhere you go, even the bad things,
especially them. you close your eyes and the things you don’t see get to sneak up on you. the things you don’t like get to be frightening.
the things you don’t know get to show you things you ignore, sleeping, snoring away, brushing off the bad dream.
