Once I was talking with a friend and fellow OFMD fan* and we were lamenting the death of the DVD box set with extras and commentary that came standard. Then the question of how much we would be willing to pay for such a thing came up.
For those who missed the box set heyday, the standard ones were unlikely to cost more than $100/$150 USD at most (unless it was a particularly long show or came with collectables). I admitted to my friend that I would be willing to pay uh, quite a bit more than that, although I couldn't bring myself to tell her the number.
How much would you have been willing to pay for an OFMD box set with the usual DVD extras?

Over the weekend, I finally met Rhys Darby. He was as lovely and kind as you might expect and I’m still in disbelief over it.
Afterwards, I had to share my excitement with the Bluesky crew. Then the following exchange happened:
Alas, though I saw Rhys perform again in the same bar the following day, he left straight after to prepare for his following show that night. However, I realised that though I failed in my mission to say hi to Rhys for dad, I could help others who may soon be in the same situation…
