Greens leader Bob Brown said a carbon tax on petrol would not disadvantage motorists, provided appropriate compensation measures were in place. *facepalm* Bob, i love you and ima let you finish, but cars are a significant source of pollution and encouraging people to pollute less with their cars is kind of important. Not to mention that this kind of undercuts your line about needing to not bloat out the policy with too much compensation.
