Had my first real cooking failure in a while. Carbonized some tortilla in an effort to make homemade corn chips (oven baked).

I think I had the oven too high a temperature on convention, which caused them to cook to quick.

Ah well. Now I know for next time.

I finally get to part of TRR2 I'm stoked to write, which will cap off chapter 24

I realise, when looking over my planning notes, that I forgot to write a scene that helps set this up

I can't push this event back, so I look for a place to add it in between chapters 21 and 23

I realise that the end of chapter 22, while having some nice banter and reminding us that the villain is bad, can easily be switched out for the set-up scene I need to write

I cut the scene I originally had there and begin writing

I belatedly remember that I'm incapable of writing anything short and this scene might easily end up being two, making chapter 22 far longer than usual

I realise I might have to restructure some chapters to keep them all roughly 2.5k words

so how's your night going?

I think the anon meant the same thing you said in your response, just said it in a way that might be misconstrued. That people shouldn’t assume things and that it’s disrespectful of people of they do that…I might be wrong though…oh well.

i try to post them as they happen but man my problem is i can never write a completed piece. i think i have all of like... 2 posted on my side blog

then i have like 15 kicking around that probably make no sense because they're written out of context. i just get great ideas and belt them out, then when i get to a slow part im like "nah" and move on to the next piece of interesting material

thats how i end up with 30k words written but nothing to post
