its the year of the horse! 🐎
The buggy corner of the Caminus Infernalis/Four Horsemen collab with @mechmonster-art. The Herald of Famine was imagined as a 'Queen of the Swarm' type character, surrounded by clouds of locust-like biomechs that chew up everything in their path.
For the theme, I imagined a prominent maw with teeth of industrial machinery, and some hollowed out anatomy and hive elements to hint to her never-satisfied hunger.
The last Herald in the Caminus collab with @mechmonster-art . Source inspo re: the Four Horsemen is a bit nebulous, in the end it was decided to do a spin on the theme of 'Conquest'.
This Herald is a corrupted statue of flesh and metal, the closest to 'angelic' or 'heaven-aligned' in appearance at a distance.
The daemon's character is being a Control Freak in contrast with the wild chaos of the War Herald. Chosen creatures of Conquest are embedded with the spores and "mycelia" the Herald hosts inside its body, enthralling them.
This one was a tough one to resolve, I'm still split on some design choices revisiting this guy. I'm in the midst of some more development for ✨future✨ paintings.
