Oh good. Tantei-han’s here- just what he needs. He honestly followed him out into the bush?
He’s either really dedicated or really insane.
The thief was, embarrassingly, stuck quite firmly in the branches of a tall conifer, suspended by the tattered wreck of his glider. He’ll give credit to the workmanship- despite taking a beating, it was still managing to hold his weight quite securely.
“You certainly got here fast, didn’t you, Tantei-han?” He waves sheepishly from above.
Staring down at the forest floor, he estimates the distance, grimacing.
That’s gotta be like 15 feet down… if I unclip myself now, the landing isn’t gonna be pretty…
The last thing any thief needs is a broken leg, after all.
He can hear splintering wood just above him, and he drops slightly.
That…that didn’t sound good. Tell me you’re not serious.
“Noooo–!” The bough breaks off, sending the thief and the wreckage of his glider plummeting to the brush below with a resounding crash.
