keefex royalty au

okay okay, this is for oscar @an-absolute-travesty

(if any of y’all have feelings abt this pls send asks abt it so i can get that sweet sweet MotivationTM)

~More modern au, but human (with abilities/talents still)

~Dex and Kesler are newly hired alchemists (and dex is a technopath) for the king (cASSius). cASSius at one point makes fun of Kesler for being Talentless, and insults dex, and keefe tries to stand up for him

~Keefe later tries to find Dex and apologize, but runs into Dex in a hallway and makes him spill and elixer which causes *something* to happen, and they have to fix it before people find out (shenanigans ensue)

~Keefe finds out that dex makes cool potions on the side and pleads with him to borrow some so he can prank his father people because he gets bored and has no freedom (Dex says yes because how can he refuse a cute prince pass up a good chance at pranks?)

~They end up messing around in Dex’s lab and have fun making elixers and just,, have fun and bond and shit

~(Gisela isn’t really a part of this because she tried to pull a mother Gothel and steal keefe as a kid bc she never wanted him to rule as king, she has a different plan for him) (in an ironic turn of events, the kingdom is called Legacy)

~Fitz is keefe’s bodyguard/friend, and biana is Sophie’s bodyguard/friend (sophie is a ward, like morgana from merlin, of the king)

~It’s a while before dex and keefe meet up again, but when they do Dex mentions that he worked on something inspired by keefe (which does NOT make keefe melt inside, thank you very much) and they walk around the palace grounds and climb trees and have a midnight picnic in the trees 

~Dex admits how his dad being talentless affects how people view his family, which is why it was such a big thing for them to move to palace as Official Alchemists. Keefe is Radicalized™ (even though he already knew his dad was fucked up, and their world needed to change, now he knows HOW and WHY and how it affects people)

~Another night they get in a self-righteous high and egg cASSius’ official carriage.

~the triplets are part of the reason cASSius becomes Not King anymore

Oscar!! :3 (v cool if I might add) ~~

This is Oscar and he asked me to do a pronoun check for them!! I think he’s super cool and I love him very much! I’m very happy to know them, and I’m so freaking glad I’m friends with him. They like kotlc and wrote an amazing Keefex Royalty au. He’s a rather fabulous writer in my opinion, and I think they’re incredibly talented. He made his profile pic a headshot of Chase Devineaux even though they haven’t seen Carmen Sandiego, simply because he was told that Devineaux was a himbo. I could probably write a whole page about them, but I’ll cut this short. I love Oscar very much and I hope they have the most wonderful day and that he remembers to take care of themself <3
