jezebel is one of the few people who doesn’t find oskyod in the least intimidating. her response to everything osk does that’s intimidating to other people is either just ‘o that’s cute’ or ‘o thats sexy. o man. did you try that on logus yet today? ;)’ or she’ll just insult them back in a completely off-the-wall manner and laugh. like....osk has just despaired of ever intimidating jezebel or making her feel stupid in any way. and that’s.....really nice, actually? it’s kind of a relief. she simply likes them, and that’s all: she doesn’t hate them, she doesn’t idolize them, she doesn’t feel superior or inferior to them, she’s not in love with them, she doesn’t dread them or find them lowkey unsettling. she just likes them. she thinks they’re funny and cute and they’re good at their job but they don’t meddle and she doesn’t feel the need to compete with them (and that’s rare for her, and really relaxing) and they’re so different from everyone else in the house---there are things about them that almost remind her of what it was like to be able to meet and interact with other kinds of fairies. and that’s very refreshing.

Jezebel hates Logus. She hates him with the Cardmaster. She hates him with Lux. She hates the way he talks about Nox. She hates him alone (mostly, unless she can tease him). She hates his stupid coat. She hates the way he meddles with her program. She hates when they have to work together. She hates him in just about every context imaginable, with this one exception: she is probably the biggest logoskyod shipper in the house. It’s just...her Favourite Show. And she’s friends with Oskyod, so she’ll often prod them to fill her in on any episodes she’s missed in this show, sometimes subtly, but often just stupidly blatant prying & awful teasing. like

Jez: *saunters into office* My but Logus was in an especially foul mood today! Osk, reading: mmm. i did notice. Jez: OOohhh so you spoke with him!? Osk: I didn’t say that. additionally, both members of team floating hair are very good secret-keepers their hair is big because it’s full of secrets. that’s a part of their understanding, too: jezebel doesn't trust anyone else to keep a secret. Nox is very dear to her, but there’s a lot she won’t share with them. She’s not stuipd. Part of the reason she gets on with Nox when no one else does is that she knows exactly what to expect, and A Trustworthy, Reliable Friend is not one of those things.

That said, I wouldn’t especially trust Jezebel with my secrets either. She’s really only remarkable when it comes to guarding her own secrets (and she has a lot of them). Oskyod, on the other hand, keeps both their own and everyone else’s secrets (including the Cardmaster’s): it pleases them very much to know things that nobody else knows and to have things that nobody else has, so if you give them a secret it's very unlikely they will let it go. In fact they’ll probably remember it well after you’ve forgotten. Oskyod hoards secrets like a dragon. They are The Best Secret-Keeper. It’s in their design. This is the product working as intended.

i drew another picture of team floating hair & will post it when i’ve got natural light in the morning, but as i was drawing it i was thinking again about how they have this kind of wierd, unspoken understanding. yes there's a natural antipathy and tension betwteen their aesthetics and MOs---superficially, they read like opposites---and they make fun of one another relentlessly, but underneath that they actually do *get* one another pretty effortlessly. there’s an ongoing dialogue between their domains: their skillsets can be thought of as extensions of one another. oskyod knows the spells of the cards best and knows their history, while jezebel oversees how they interface with the world and excels at figuring out how that needs to be modified to fit the present or even predicting trends into the future.

oskyod is also one of the only people jez can stand to be around when she's truly angry or distraught, and sometimes they will even give her a hug while she whispers furious vindictive things into their ear about everyone and everything (esp about the cardmaster and/or logus, how they ALWAYS WIN, how she always loses in some way, how she hates it, how she'll make them suffer how she'll make them fall how she'll make them die die die die die) and osk will hold her understandingly like (in, idk, proto-indo-european) "yep, i know. bitches aint shit."
