Some unanswered questions from OUAT 5A
Why did Merline tell Emma not to pull Excalibur from the stone once it was returned (which we later find out is done by Killian)?
Why did Merlin tell the Charmings and co. to find Nimue, because she was their only hope?
Any theories?
But she really did end up being his last thought. He looked into her eyes as he was dying :(
The Stupidest Thing About Killing Merlin
is that it wasn’t even necessary to get back to Storybrooke
Hook was there when the Apprentice explained how the wand worked. So he knows that with dark magic, which he now has, he can use it to create a tornado portal and go anywhere he wants.
The use of the wand also gets rid of the useless dark curse that hasn’t accomplished anything as far a plot goes. The dwarves aren’t around for us to care about Dopey being a tree still, and nobody wants to leave town so who gives a shit about the town line being cursed? No one.
It’s not like the writers forgot about the existence of the wand either, since Emma had it when she gave Zelena onion rings.
this fucking show
I think that Merlin definitely told Killian what needed to be done and he's been saying it all along the key to defeating the darkness is Nimue. In order for that to happen they needed to bring her back to life and kill her. So all this needed to happen, Merlin wanted to die and needed to die. It's Snape kills Dumbledore 2.0. Killian is gonna kill Nimue which will then kill all the other DO's since she's the root of it all. He'll make Emma kill him or he'll kill himself but it was all to save Em
Nonnie there is just so much that makes this feel like Merlin and Killian had some sort of discussion or magic secret head nod before everything happened. It seems a little to convenient that Merlin says I have no magic but ingredients so let me post haste to Granny’s. Yeah the ingredients for a Dark Course which happens to need a heart to finish it.
In Arthurian Legend knew he was going to die. He knew Nimue was no good for him and he even died by her hand. I think OUAT took from the legend and created their own story to fit it. This is what the show does. We get parts of the original with a great twist.
Hilary pointed it out, I pointed it out and so have countless others that there is a Snape Dumbledore feel to all this. It feels so planned out but something we should think isn’t. Bless J.K for equipping us with this little tool to help us spot it when being used.
However this goes down Nimue is done for. Killian is a vital piece to the plan that ends her even if it’s not by his hand but Emma’s. It really feels like Killian is doing what Merlin couldn’t do and what Merlin may have told him needs to be done no matter what. It’s going to hurt when Killian dies but it’s not like it’ll be for long with that blood of a reborn man opens a portal to hell clue. We know what’s up.
Killian is doing what Merlin couldn’t. Being ‘cruel’ enough to push themselves to kill Nimue and the Darkness.
Merlin loved Nimue so much that when he had the chance he couldn’t kill her with the dagger. There was so much love that he couldn’t bring himself to do what needed to be done. Killian on the other hand is literally pushing through the love to anger Emma with cruel vile words. Killian himself may not be running a dagger or Excalibur through Emma but his words are. They are cutting her deep enough to push her to destroy Nimue and the darkness.
Both acts are cruel in their own right and both were fueled by love but Killian is painfully saying those words as the darkness and a man who knows what needs to be done to save Emma. Every time he takes the truth and adds a cruel twist to it he looks at Emma but when it’s some add on such as his revenge he looks away so Emma can’t see he is lying. That he is doing what needs to be done. Killian is helping to finish what Merlin started and Emma was destined to do.
