Repost from @rybdenim We've been watching the #bikepolo break down all day, and want to shout out our #brandambassador @shelley_lucille from #urbanstemsny and @shelleylucilledesigns for being an inspiration to many on days like today, including us. As #oursport evaluates its roots in maintaining being mixed gendered in participation and advocating for it, and while there will be many to #educate along the progression, she consistently articulates and emphasizes the #needforchange A #champion in more ways than one. We also want to congratulate her #teammates @nate_mumford and Zach Blackburn from #nycbikepolo for refusing to play in a certain international invitational for men only. We are in the business of fashion, yes, and respect that as a brand, a company reserves the right to represent themselves how they want, BUT as a sport we have the right to refuse to participate if it doesn't represent our values and what we're trying to do. #changingtheworld isn't easy, and will take time, but when people #standup for each other, we get that much closer to #unity in #equality. 💜💛🙏🏼👏🏻🙌🏼
