In the lead up to the Artemis II launch, I saw people asking why we couldn't just skip straight to landing on the moon, since we already did all these tests during the Apollo program.
The smart answer is that it's been 50 years and a lot of the technology that's being used in the Artemis missions didn't even exist during the Apollo program.
The correct answer is apparently that they have to figure out how to fix Outlook in space.

James had jolted awake when Sirius had whooped, his arms automatically tightening around Regulus, thinking there was danger. Now he stared at the Daily Prophet’s headline and began reading through the article below.
By the looks of it, the Department of Magical Law Enforcement had enough evidence to put Walburga and Orion in Azkaban automatically. There would, of course, be a trial, but things were not looking good for the pair.
He watched Regulus and Sirius closely, waiting for their reactions. Regulus snorted once he’d finished reading and tossed the paper to the end of the bed.
“My outlook on life is decidedly positive today,” Regulus said, rolling back the sheets and getting out of bed; thankfully, he was wearing a pair of Remus’s pyjamas, though Sirius didn’t look all that happy about that. “We should have a party,” he continued as he went over to Remus’s trunk and rooted through it until he found his favourite of Remus’s jumpers.
“You want to throw a party?” Sirius scoffed. Regulus began stripping off in the middle of the room, pulling Remus’s jumper over his head. It barely covered him, and Sirius cringed away, turning his head and biting his tongue, refusing to acknowledge his brother’s state of undress.
“We’re finally free, Sirius. I can be whoever I want to be now, and I think a party is a good way to celebrate this huge milestone for us.”
“I think it’s a great idea,” James declared, getting out of bed as well. “After everything that’s happened lately, I think we all need to blow off a bit of steam.”
“Me too,” Remus yawned from behind his curtains.
“Count me in if you fuckers will pipe the fuck down and let me sleep!” Peter hissed from his bed.
“SORRY, PETE!!!!” They all shouted at the top of their lungs. His hand appeared from behind the crimson hangings, his middle finger sticking up at them.
“Fine,” Sirius conceded. “But I pick the music.”
