Simon never actually met the real Bobby.
Tbh I wonder how Bobby would’ve reacted when meeting Simon for the first time. Like, Edgeworth tells him that he will have to the guardian of this prisoner/prosecutor and he’s probably like ‘what’ on the inside because, having to try to rehabilitate a prisoner? And the chief personally assigns him this task?
I know he had to feel special, but nervous at the same time. And when he actually meets him, hoooh boy: the nervousness cranks up. And he was probably scared of him at first, LOL, thinking ‘oh my god, do I really have to do this, this guy is going to kill me.’
But then overtime starts seeing that Simon really is not as cold-hearted and vicious as most make him out to be, and that’s when he especially starts believing in his innocence till the very end!
