a chat and a wine || m & l
Surely it was to be expected that Marlene would be visiting Lily as soon as she had a free moment. It had taken a while for the girl to get herself together. Moving to new lodgings hadn’t always been a smooth transition for Marlene. Not only did it take her a long time to collect all of her things and to come back for items she’d forgotten, but to say goodbye to her family always took a longer amount of time (and lots of hugs).
When she’d rocked up to her dorm her roommate was already there- her side of the room perfectly done up. Marlene could swear the girl had taken one look at the blonde, turned her head up and decisively made the decision in her mind that she was not worth the time. Still, she tried to persevere- even made the effort to start a conversation. It was about as interesting as a History of Magic lesson about knuts.
A few moments later Marlene found herself slumping dramatically against Lily’s (or so she assumed’s) door, her head the perfect device to knock on it.
“Lily?”
She didn’t think of the consequence had it been somebody else answering the door and instead leant down so her lips were close to the keyhole.
“Lily Evans.” She sighed into it, eye moving towards the hole to try and get a better view. “I bought wine.”
