June 1975. Femmes fatales were a specialty of the house in THE SPIRIT. Several featured in this mostly reprint issue of the Warren magazine, which also included the new cover by Will Eisner and Ken Kelly and a droll if rather sexist item on the first and only meeting of:
Ellen Dolan (the blond woman with the headband) was not a femme fatale — she was Commissioner Dolan's daughter and a plucky good girl who eventually ran for mayor — but the others were, to paraphrase Mae West, better for being bad.
