Singing live and dancing at the same time?!
Hell yeah!
This was all his evaluation! Even though the first week training was hard and plus he had been helping with promotions that first week for the karma debut, jongsuk still managed to find the energy and time to make sure that he could knock this evaluation out of the park.
Being a huge MYNAME fan, jongsuk had decided to do one of their ballad esque songs with complex dance since he could absolutely pull off the routine.
So most of the time when he wasn't too busy he was practicing his dancing. He didn't really have to practice his vocals because he was prepared enough but he had to make sure that his dancing was perfect. of course it took a lot of energy out of him but he had energy to burn!
this was what he had been wanting for for ages. ever since he got signed three years ago. he's wanted to show off his vocal skills even more and while he knew that he wasn't the best dancer in the company, he wanted to show that he came pretty damn close.
jonsguk wanted validation so much on his talents. he didn't want to fade into the background ever so his aim every eval was to push himself more and more.
by the last week of may, before performances, jongsuk felt that he could do absolutely anything and that his intense preparations had meant everything. his love of myname would shine in all the spotlights.
✍ back to black → aspen & chase
The room smelled of burning oil and smoke, and Aspen sat with a pert, satisfied smile on his lips, tossing a small fireball from hand to hand. Where fatigue should have thickened the blood in his veins to lead from the long, intense training session he'd been working on with Chase, adrenaline increased the flow of liquid through his veins and kept his heart pounding at a rate that made him feel invincible — like he could take on the world with both hands tied behind his back. The idea of the work they were doing was more to benefit his comrade than himself, with Chase liquifying his arms into thick streams of highly-flammable oil and Aspen setting the substance alight until instructed to stop; this allowed Chase to develop his healing factor further and gave Aspen a great source of entertainment, considering playing with fire was obviously one of his preferred ways to spend time. It also helped that he didn't have to spar with the other boy, taking into mind "Goop" was one of the few people that genuinely terrified him beyond what his usual cockiness could make up for. His energy had been considerably drained by the day's events, but some part of his still thirsted for more, desired an opponent that would fight back, who had a will to live that Aspen could choke out of their body until it was lifeless.
Mind wandering, he considered the possibility of whether or not Chase would care to accompany him on this sort of deranged, aimless murder mission without a target in mind, or if he was still too traumatized from his incident with Bennie to go after anyone. Then again, he believed he'd be doing the other a favour by getting him back into the mode of a cold-blooded killer and pulling him from the funk he appeared to be in. Though his powers were equally as up to par as they'd always been, Aspen could tell that something was off with him and had it out to try and correct the issue; efficiency was not to be left under blankets of emotion and turmoil — shedding those covers would be easy with another's aid, and that was where he planned to come in. Vertigo clouded his vision as he hopped up from where he was sitting, flames dissipating between his fingers into thin air. "Something seems weird with you," he commented, crossing the room and thereby closing the space between the two. "I won't ask why, because I know you're not a feelings guy, but as a future Elder I feel like it's my job to… Fix this problem, and I have an idea." He paused, seating himself on the edge of Chase's chair and tapping the other on the nose at the risk of losing his finger. "We're going to go kill someone. Okay?"
Back to the Start || Keller & Fiona
All was quiet in the dorm and it was an entirely unwelcomed silence. There was a long list of things Fiona could do to break the silence, but they were all shot down quickly in favor of Fiona simply continuing to stare at the mirror with the same contemplative frown on her face. In the mirror, Fiona could see one of the dorm’s many windows, completely closed and allowing no fresh air in. It was a beautiful day, the sun high in the sky and batching the room in light. Fiona was sure many of her friends were enjoying the beautiful day outside or would be soon. She would be doing no such thing. Instead, she was counting down the remaining minutes until she had to leave the dorm room that had become her sanctuary and take a small step in the world again. Though she was not braving the outdoors again or even the four walls of a classroom, it still felt like so much more than a small step. It was a leap, a bound into the unknown that she had created through a month of silence and solitude. That month was filled with unanswered letters and painful heartbreak on both sides and the knowledge that it was coming to an end was still unreal to Fiona. The choice of solitude came with the construction of walls that she made sure were unbreakable, but that only applied to forces she was sure of. She could fend ignorance to the problems her friends claimed she had and she could sooth the worries of her roommates, but those were all with practice. When she cut off contact, the price was making herself vulnerable when he next walked into her life. The plan was for that never to happen again. Fate and McGonagall seemed to have a different plan. For in a few minutes, she would be taking that leap into unknown territory. Fiona would be seeing Keller again.
The small clock on one of the bedside tables ticked away and Fiona knew it was time. Fiona knew her boggart and knew it well, but she could swear this moment terrified her more than any disappointment ever could. Yet as she gathered her books and wand, feelings of anticipation and nervous excitement flooded into her. A month was truly too much time to spend away from the person who had been such a constant in her life. Before romance, there had always been friendship between them and even if there wasn’t any chance of them reconciling, Fiona needed Keller’s friendship. This tutoring session could be the fresh start they both needed. Holding on to that small hope, Fiona made her way down the stairs, speeding up and slowing down just as her heart did. When she cleared the last stair, Fiona abruptly came to a halt. It was the same common room, yet everything felt shifted to Fiona. A chair that was once against a wall was pulled out. A book that had always sat on one of the tables was now gone. Even the scarlet and gold seemed brighter in her eyes. It was like coming home and realizing you were now a stranger in it. Though it made her heart ache, Fiona brushed the thoughts away and instead chose a spot near the fire for the tutoring session. Once her books were placed and then rearranged on the table, Fiona stood and glanced around the common room once again. It was silent just as her dorm had been, the population of Gryffindor out exploring the grounds or sitting in class wishing they were doing so. That meant only one person would be coming through the portrait and with an obvious mixture of eagerness and dread, Fiona watched the entrance and readied herself for the unknown.
Back in Action || Moxy
Roxy couldn't help the smile that donned her face as she dressed for the evening. She deemed dark colors suitable and dressed in dark jeans and a simple black shirt. It had been too long since she had done anything out of the ordinary and of course it would be with Missy. Roxy would be lying if she said she wasn't ecstatic to have her friend back. Sure it kind of scared her how much of an effect the loss had had on her but who was she to fight a friendship that obviously meant something to her. Sneakers completed the attire and she made her way down the stairs, swiping the keys that lay on the counter.
The evening air was cold and Roxy rushed into her car, rolling her eyes at her own forgetfulness at grabbing a sweater. She was going to end up being the death of herself. Starting the engine, she warmed the car before shifting into drive and slamming on the gas. The purr of the engine was like a welcome home in itself and as she leaned back into the seat she relaxed more and more. As she approached Missy's home, she smiled again, not having been to the house in a while. When she finally stopped on the curb, she smirked and leaned on the horn. The blaring noise surprised a few birds and they added their cawing to the ruckus.
"Cunningham get that cute little ass out here!"
