Her fingers were covered with various remnants of candy and snacks, ones that she’d picked up at nearly every food stand in the festival. She had become full an hour or two ago, but she was content with the fact that her taste buds were hungrier than her stomach. She might be enjoying herself just for the fun of it, but it was also to help shove down a strange fog-like headache that she’d started experiencing.
She sat on a park bench, watching faces go by and revelry dance around her, when suddenly a face swam across her vision that was highlighted in her mind. She could barely control her feet as she got up and raced towards him, happy as always to see a friendly face.
“Hey, I didn’t know you were coming today, you should have told me. We could have hung out before or something.” Her snack-stained fingers flew around her face like butterflies, as she signed quickly to Wyatt and enunciated her speech to help him practice, too.
