The live rock lobster lobster trade in the Torres Strait Islands, lying between Australia’s northern-most tip and Papua New Guinea is laborious work but was worth it because it made up about half the value of Australia’s seafood exports (A$660 million of A$1.4 billion) to China, the main market. The new director of the Media Industry Development Authority in Fiji - Matai Akauola - comes with a scathing attack on how New Zealand and Australian news media have treated Fiji since the 2006 coup.
