Ok. uhm. WOWIE. Holy moly.

So we're missing the fight in the carriage with Paperstar, but it still must have happened since Carmen has the Magna Carta! I just don't have the storyboards for it :(

This shot of Carmen looking back changes angles in the final!

The storyboard is also missing a shot of Paperstar running at her from the train's hallway. Good lord she is approaching

Carmen stumbles back significantly here, in the final she barely stumbles at all and it transitions straight into the next shot of them fighting ↓

In the storyboard Paperstar kicks at Carmen, in the final she just throws punches. They also cut her kick in the confrontation with Le Chèvre? My hunch is they were worried Paperstar would come across as someone who fights with kicks rather than origami?

It makes more sense for the origami guy to fight with their hands I think, y'know. Using hands for origami so using hands for fighting?

They line up until here. Then we get a VERY different fight scene good lord.

Oh to choke your rival with the papers describing the foundation of democracy... What who said that.

I would have loved to see the notes for this scene. What would they have been like. I'm pretty sure the storyboard was changed since this drags out for waaaaaay to long in what's meant to be a fast paced scene. It's badass but also chop chop we only have 22 minutes.

Also Carmen was loosing a bit too much in the storyboard, Paperstar is absolutely running CIRCLES around her.

I wonder how they ended up with this though.

Guess we'll never know...

Then they line up again and she gets thrown into the abis forever. The show ends here it's over.

OLD MAN I MISS YOU. And in the storyboard he looks up after Carmen's gone which would have been so funny...

Carmen grabs a discarded paper star in the storyboard, rather than a train part in the final, that paper star being the one thrown that fell back, the 'wind beats paper' one.

she takes more time to focus and throw it in the storyboard, in the final she just says "here goes nothing" and chucks it.

There are some more slight changes in the fight scene but these are the main ones!

paper star redesign I did a few weeks back! Not entirely happy with it so it might look a lil rushed in some places
