Her mobile phone beeped and Aria unlocked the screen to see the message. She had been concerned about Laka. They were supposed to meet up but something held her up in work and when she tried calling, there's no answer. The message from Laka was simple. Only her new address.
By the time Aria found herself in front of the building, she was immediately impressed. This must cost a fortune, she thought before pressing for the elevator. She wasn't really sure how Laka got this place but perhaps she had gotten herself a good real estate agent. It wasn't her place to question anyways. Laka needs her as a friend now. Not an interrogator of her circle of acquaintances.
She checked the message again to double confirm the unit no and walked towards. She pressed the bell and gave a slight knock.
"Laka? It's me. Ari."
