The criticisms of Paragon are so shallow. I understand feeling that Will was misrepresented; the author did indeed make him more popular and OP than he is in canon. But the other criticisms boil down to: "Hannibal is too strong and masculine" or "Hannibal would never sexually assault Will." Did we watch the same show? Were they watching with their ears plugged and their eyes closed? Hannibal—the man who always respected other people's boundaries. Hannibal the man who always respected Will's autonomy.
Fans love turning Hannibal into a misunderstood angel baby, and Will into a rough, violent dog. And then they get angry when someone does the opposite. It's clear the author had a soft spot for Will, but if you don't like the idea of seeing Will as a little sassy minx, then don't read the fanfic. No one is forcing you to read Paragon, but it is quite rude to post your negative feelings over a FREE WORK.

Rereading Paragon for the third time. I remember being hospitalized and feeling so out of it, but I had Paragon with me so I didn't feel lonely.
I had a That's So Raven style flashback to Hannibal calling Will 'sweet succubus' in Paragon. Man, how I miss Paragon. If I had 0.1% of the author's talent I could then write a marvelous fic that would amaze you all. BloodyWar2411, you are forever my idol
