This crown was made for Helene Stanley to wear as the live-action reference for Princess Aurora for Walt Disney’s 1959 film 𝑺𝒍𝒆𝒆𝒑𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑩𝒆𝒂𝒖𝒕𝒚. Helene was hired in 1954, and Alice Estes was asked to create her Briar Rose gown, thus Alice is the most likely candidate for who designed the crown. The piece went on to be used on one of the Mousketeers – Annette Funicello as Ozma – in the 1957 Fourth Anniversary Show, where they sang 𝑹𝒂𝒊𝒏𝒃𝒐𝒘 𝑹𝒐𝒂𝒅 𝒕𝒐 𝑶𝒛, part of a never-realized project for 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑷𝒂𝒕𝒄𝒉𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒌 𝑮𝒊𝒓𝒍 𝒐𝒇 𝑶𝒛.
