A hand touches your shoulder and lightly moves you. “Hey. Hey… Wake up,” the voice is unknown, but you are still half asleep.
“Five more minutes,” you mumble, burrowing on your pillow once more, trying to to get away from whoever is trying to wake you. You haven’t been asleep that long, for fuck’s sake.
Wait.
Someone waking you up? You live alone.
You open your eyes in a rush, turning to the intruder. The scream that breaks out of your mouth is louder than a banshee’s when you see the red creature looming over you. He’s tall as fuck, as broad as your wardrobe and incredibly… hot?
His white hair and white beard only make him look sophisticated in a very monstrous way. Are you digging this? Are you really getting hot for a- a- a monster? Why the fuck is there a monster in your room either way? You are dreaming. That must be it. You are dreaming and this is some kind of nightmare… right?
“Shush.” His hand covers your mouth, shutting you up while your eyes get bigger and bigger the longer you stare at him. “I don’t like when humans scream,” he grumbles. He looks almost guilty, but in a very mischievous way.
You sit on the bed, resting your back against the headboard and pushing his hand away. He lets you, his eyes never leaving your face. “Who are you?” You ask, finally, deciding to play into whatever lucid dream this is.
He snorts, as if the response is obvious. “Santa, duh.”
Right. Apparently your life now is having weird dreams about Santa, and him being some kind of monster. Fantastic. Maybe you need to give the monster romances before bed a little rest.
“Why- why are you here?” You ask next, curious about what brought this on. You never had specially vivid dreams, and this one feels incredibly real.
He huffs, his face morphing from amusement to annoyance again. “You didn’t give Santa any cookies this year,” he states, as if this is a serious crime.
