Saw your blog recommended to me on my dash, noticed your url, thought “lol just like that one lyrics from Razias shadow” then, “nah probably a coincidence” only to go on your blog, look at your bio and see! Indeed! Razias shadow! Greetings 👋🏼
I don't know when you sent this, I'm apparently bad at checking my asks lmao
But yess thank you!! Shout-out to my bestie @girl-of-ink for showing Razias to me; I think I changed my URL to be Razias themed in like 2018? And it just hits so there's nothing else I want to change it too. 😎 like adakias I am also naive and starry eyed but hopefully I don't end up stabbed 🙏🏻
If you ever want to talk Razias with me feel free to send another ask or message me!!
The darhksteelatom moments in the newest ep have me rights

Anyway as you might have noticed, I too, love August Heart. I love him??? So much. I honestly have only read like, the first 8 issues? I plan to read more but at the time I didn’t really have time to get into it. But I love him and? Where the August Heart content we deserve?
i know....i miss him..... the only content with him that i’ve had lately has been on cw flash which is Oof...... he may not be in as much of a limbo as a lot of my other favorites (see one of my favorite characters having been out of canon since 2002) and in the grand scheme of things he’s still very much present in the flash but i still miss him dearly. josh williamson where is my man.......
Hey so I watched the Shamers chronicles 2 movie and it was absolutely horrible. Thankfully I found it somewhere online so I didn’t pay any money to watch that. But god. God it was terrible. Where the first movie was at least somewhat decent and tried to follow the plot, the second was just so bad. They messed up everything. They did all the characters dirty. It was so bad, I have nightmares about it. I live in fear now.
Ugh, that sucks. I mean I didnt think it’d be any good, but… >_<
Imo the decision to skip The Shamer Signet and go straight to the third book is a really fucking bad decision. I could accept it better for the musical where the concept would never allow for more than one sequel & yeah, The Serpent’s gift probably does have the coolest concepts/settings/etc for song & performance purposes, but….
Both Dina and Davin’s - but especially Davin’s - developement is 100% rooted in The Shamer Signet.
I mean it’s not like the first movie had any real grasp of the characters anyway, but Davin absolutely will not be compelling or make sense without what happens in The Shamer Signet. His motivations are laid out in The Shamer Signet and the reason for the PTSD he exhibits in The Serpent’s Gift is a direct result of what he did at the end of The Shamer Signet. You absolutely cannot do Davin in a way that makes any sense if you skip The Shamer Signet. The musical portrayed him as a bumbling buffoon without any of the very real depth he has in the books exactly because they had nothing real to ground his character in.
As for Dina, imo her and Rosa’s relationship was one of the only things the first movie did remotely okay, and like, she was…. fine? in the first movie. The problem was that the heart of The Shamer’s Daughter is the friendship that developes between Dina and Nico and the movie didnt give that any time to develope.
I MEAN IMAGINE BEING THE PERSON WHO THOUGHT CUTTING MOST OF THE SCENE IN THE DUNGEON CELL MAKES ANY SENSE
LITERALLY THE SCENE EVERY KID REMEMBERS FROM THIS BOOK BUT OKAY
(i’m still very angry about that, okay)
(the musical did a whole song dedicated to that scene)
(but sure, we can ignore it. that’s not important. plot! dragons!)
(no i’m not okay)
Anyway Dina wasn’t ruined in the first movie the way Nico was, just kind of meh. But again, she kind of needs the development from The Shamer Signet to make sense in The Serpent’s Gift. Not as badly as Davin, but she’s badly shaken by what happens in The Shamer Signet and that’s not at all incidental to how she approaches Sezuan and the possibility that she has the serpent’s gift, etc. So I mean, even beyond the shitty writing in the first movie, I’m really not surprised the second movie fucked over the characters. I’m sure Nico is still Generic Fantasy Hero rather than fucking like. gnc guy who wants to left alone
Sorry that was a very long answer to write about a movie I haven’t seen (and hopefully won’t. I might hate watch it at some point and shout a lot, but hopefully I’ll just avoid it. ugh. THESE MOVIES COULD HAVE BEEN SO GOOD!!!!!!!)
Did they put things from the Shamer’s War in to end the story or did they leave things open for a third one?
Anyway yeah thing bad >_<
Hey so, I’m just wondering if you’ve ever come across another country where the milk isn’t Like That? Bc danish milk is pretty good, but whenever I go elsewhere, whether it’s Egypt or Germany, the milk is Like That. Is it just bc we drink more milk, therefore the industry has more money to make it better? I often think of this, and I was just wondering if you have anything to add on the subject? I’M CONFUSION!
hmm, i don’t really drink milk on its own anymore and it’s been forever since i had cereal in a foreign country... these days 90% of the milk i consume is with coffee and imo the taste isn’t super obvious when it’s in some type of coffee
I don’t think the difference is one of quality, though. I think it’s about what you’re used to and something that’s just slightly left of that feeling instinctively wrong, maybe?
The fat percentages also tend to be different in other countries. In Denmark we have skummetmælk, around 0,1%, minimælk, 0,4%, letmælk, 1,5%, sødmælk, 3,5%
In many countries, “whole milk” (3%-3,6%) and skim(med) milk (0,1-0,5%) are the standard options, so those are like the extremes. And I think in many countries whole milk is the default milk? So obviously that’s going to be VERY fatty if that’s not what you’re used to. Eg, I can’t stand milk fattier than letmæk if it’s for absolutely anything besides coffee.
(And it might also make sense to mention here that many countries don’t share our tradition of just straight up drinking milk from a glass every morning as a child, so perhaps the default milk types are more geared towards milk for baking, cooking, coffee, etc, rather than for drinking it on it’s own?)
Apparently I should be looking for semi-skimmed if I’m in the UK, since that’s supposed to have a similar fat percentage to letmælk.
In Southern Europe (and other hot places) I think there’s also some stuff with how they conserve the milk that’s different because of our different climates? And different cows probably produce milk with different taste depending on what their breed, what they eat, etc? But this is guesswork
I don’t know, I mean obviously in the Nordic countries we have a milk tradition that’s like. Overwhelming because drinking and eating dairy products has been necessary for survival around these parts so I think we just tend to be used to more options - and then when there actually are options in other countries, it can be super hard to figure out which type corresponds with your preferred Danish type since, like. I don’t know the milk percentages off-hand - well, after talking about this a few times, I’m beginning to, lmao - so even if a label says something about 2% and I can deduce that is the fat percentage I might not know that that is fattier than I like it, you know?
Either way, I assume it’s down to what you’re used to and not to do with the inherent quality of the milk.
Side note: You can get Danish milk in Germany, can’t you? Maybe only in the north. But I feel like you can?
