Hai, Hansha. Selamat ulang tahun! Feliz cumpleanos! Sanah helwah! Penblwydd hapus!

Sesungguhnya berkurangnya umur tidak hanya kita alami tiap tahun, bahkan tiap detik yang kita lewati, adalah sebuah perjalanan menuju habisnya "masa kontrak" kita di dunia.

"Jadilah engkau di dunia layaknya orang asing, atau bahkan layaknya musafir." begitu bunyi hadits yang diriwayatkan oleh Imam Bukhori dari Ibnu Umar.

Seorang musafir takkan pernah berpikir bahwa dia akan tinggal di tempat yang disinggahinya untuk selamanya, dan dia akan mencari bekal sebanyak-banyaknya untuk perjalanan berikutnya, agar ketika nanti ia harus beranjak dari persinggahannya, perbekalannya menuju tempat yang ia tuju akan cukup.

Seperti itulah seharusnya kita. Kita harus memahami betul, bahwa nyawa kita adalah titipan, dan suatu hari, Yang Menitipkannya akan mengambilnya tanpa kita ketahui kapan. Maka, selayaknya---dengan umur yang semakin berkurang, kita persiapkan akhir terbaik, kalau-kalau Dia meminta titipan-Nya kembali suatu saat nanti. Semoga segala kebaikan selalu meliputimu.

Happy birthday, dearest Tigs, my fellow over 40s Brit! Bet you’re knee-deep in a patchwork quilt or had the urge to knit, Unless artwork’s in the pipeline or a flowerbed or two, With your darling cats for company, as well as Mr Boo!

Maybe writing took your fancy, hope you have The Best Laid Plans, For The Start Of  A New Chapter to delight your many fans, Is There Anybody There who isn’t Spellbound by your words? Always killing me with slow burns, guess your Beta never learns!

Perhaps you’re walking country lanes or combing beaches for some stones, Though Evertonian and Manx, The Isles of Scilly’s in your bones, Are you munching on white chocolate after playing clarinet, Or reading something off your bookshelves, daily yoga targets met?

Is the ipad being scrolled as you sing songs from Eurovision? Maybe Mary’s talking Greek or Doctor Who is on a mission, Having pizza without sweetcorn, (don’t trust food you can’t digest), While you Netflix all the comic books and finally take a rest,

But however should you spend this day, I trust you’ll spend it well, Be indulgent, unrepentant, like our beloved, Ragnor Fell! Hope you’re smiling, being cuddled and, above all, having fun, Sending lots of love and wishes you’ll have many more to come!
