I AM IN THE METROPOLITAN OPERA COMPETITION Y’ALL
It is my firm belief that no audition has ever actually been an accurate representation of the skills of the actor/musician/dancer/other performer. It is simply too stressful and jarring an experience to correctly display the skill set of the performer.
Dress rehearsal to the concert is a good time to have your voice mostly come back! Still a little shaky, and I doubt I’m “better” by a long shot, but it looks like I’ll probably be able to sing the concert.
I really didn’t understand how much singing meant to me until I couldn’t do it for five weeks. Not that much time in the scheme of things, but still. I was legitimately tearing up from actually being able to produce sound in most of my range. (The fact that the music is stunningly gorgeous doesn’t hurt - and it’s all female composers and arrangers.)
Director: put something on your faces. Just dancing isn't enough anymore!
Me: well Now i am Not going to do it just to spite you
I’m so beyond stoked!!! I’m finally getting back to dancing again this weekend! It’s been a nice break the last few months, but I miss dancing for my favorite artists! 👏🏻🙌🏻💖
Bye until Monday!
Back on the bus to Christmas land for another 15 show weekend, so no Prompts of Turnadette updates until Monday! Hope you enjoyed this week’s installments and I’ll see you guys soon. I have a few more fully planned out and then a few that I’m still trying to figure out how to turnadette-ize, but we’re almost at the half way point!
Hope anyone who celebrated Thanksgiving yesterday is super full and safe in their black friday adventures.
Hugs,

Hey people. 5 months ago, Oliver Twist le musical ended. It was the most beautiful adventure of my life! Today, I'm here to tell you I'm joining a new project... Guillaume Tell, le musical! I'll play and share the character of Minna with a colleague. Minna is a 18 years old girl like me who is in love with Walter Tell, the son of Guillaume tell, but he is already in love with her big sister -.- and they are already in couple from the very beginning of the story which is very depressing. My colleague and me will also double Cacilia (The big sister of Minna (yes, this one)) and Charlyne (her little sister), in case the original performers get sick or whatever. I'm very lucky to work with many very talented people that I admire like Candice Parise, Bastien Jacquemart, Nuno Resende, Benjamin Maytraud (my baby loooove Walter) or Ana Ka. I wish I could tell you other crazy names of other amazing artists of the show, but they aren't officially announced for now... but soon ;) At the folies bergeres the 17th and 18th of November, and later in tour !
