Work in progress for my personality walk assignment (term 2) This is only 3 frames & is missing a lot. I am being less critical as this is 3 frames out of 12. This is Animated on paper!
Things I need to fix: Far arm not moving.

I felt super nervous going into 3D animation for the first time this past semester, but it turned out to be pretty fun! My professor had a really great schedule plan too, so I didn’t really feel overworked and burnt out by the time we got to the final project. I’m thankful I had a good experience! Anyway this is my final reel, which includes my midterm reel with better lighting and my walks!
Personality Walk
I have completed my personality walk - a tired, lazy walk!
Personality Walk - Progress Cont.
The walk was still pacing a little too fast for my liking, I wanted it to drag out since the character is tired and I felt that it was walking too fast to show this. So, I spaced out the frames (shift clicking the frames) from 33 frames long to 60 frames, making sure that one foot step took about 25 frames. (Based on the Animator’s Survival Kit notes)
I have edited my walk quite a lot since the last post, I have tried to create a stomp when the character walks to add some weight to the walk and emphasise how tired the character is. I did this by reducing the frames that it takes to pace and then created linear tangents in the graph editor to change the spacing. This way the foot moves a lot faster towards the ground.
I have also been able to make my walk translate across the screen, however the character does slide just a tiny bit, so I will need to edit the translation in the graph editor to slow down so it looks more realistic. The character also jitters slightly when the walk cycle begins again, so I will have to see what it causing that and change it.
Personality Walk - Progress
I have begun my personality walk in Maya, first I tried to put together the single walk using the model provided. It is not entirely finished as I have noticed a little twitch in one of the feet as it moves, I also need to make it move across the screen. As well as this I would like to exaggerate the head movement even further and maybe make the shoulders a little heavier or lift up slightly when the model walks. But, I just wanted to block out the basic walk first and all of this refinement can be done once my scene is finished.
This is a personality walk cycle I have made in my Advance 3D class in Spring 2016. I do not own the Pink Panther rigged model
This is a personality walk cycle that I have done in Animation 2 Class at Edinboro University in Spring of 2015.
Got a bunch of stuff to do for school and side projects, so I haven't had time to draw much. So here's a personality walk I did for my introductory 3D animation class I took last semester.
