So in my fic “Back to Basics”, Vox ends all his content for the hotel with “we’re happy to help” as a cheesy catch-phrase.

Rn at work, I’m creating a load of media content to promote stuff. Halfway through, I realised I was ending every video with “we’re happy to help!”

Every time I think I’m going to miss updating my fic weekly, the muses descend and I end up writing a full chapter in a single sitting which needs minimal editing.

…dunno what deal I made, but clearly it’s powerful stuff.

Plus side: fight scenes get easier with practice.

Well. I think I’ve now written my favourite scene in my entire fic.

Featuring a character beat which is so unexpected and yet so right that I wrote the line and then just went, “Buddy, did you mean to say that?” (No. No the character did not mean to say that.)

Well there’s no way I’m going to keep on my “one chapter a week” update schedule now, at least for this chapter.

I’m ill and the characters aren’t cooperating. I’d rather wait and update when I can do it justice as this chapter is stacked with several Checkov’s Guns, plus it’s pretty damn good to have only broken my weekly update streak after 23 chapters. Equally, am grump 😭
