Thank you to the loved-up couple for walking right into the middle of my frame in pics 5&6 after I had the tripod set up. 💞😍 The extraordinary 2017 hit Boorna Waanginy returns to transform Kings Park into a nocturnal wonderland over four spectacular nights. In this epic work Noongar culture, science, cutting-edge technology and breathtaking artistry come together to celebrate the unique and threatened beauty of South Western Australia’s landscape. Huge projectors transform the avenues of Kings Park into an ever-moving canvas, where trees and flowers bloom, flocks of birds descend, wetlands fill, bush fires rage and the stories of the formation of the land unfurl all around you. Bring the family along for an unmissable experience that is truly awe inspiring. This walkthrough event runs continuously from 8pm-11pm, with last entry at 10.30pm. You are welcome to arrive at any time during the evening and experience the event at your own pace. Your 1.5km journey into Kings Park begins at Fraser Avenue and concludes with a stunning light installation at the Pioneer Women’s Memorial. Recommended to allow 45 minutes from start to finish, plus 25 minutes to walk to the exit. Pack light and wear comfortable shoes. This is a family friendly event and can be experienced by all ages. Please be advised that there will be loud noises and sound effects during some parts of the journey. Another tip: Definitely put on heaps of insect repellent - mozzies at Kings Park are on steroids.
