Hot take for PHM: I don’t like how people are portraying Grace as a crybaby. The issue isn’t that people are recognizing Grace as an emotional person, the issue is that they’re basically putting him in a box with the label “soft innocent baby”.

Just because he’s emotional doesn’t mean he’s going to break into tears every few seconds. He’s not some pathetic creature. He’s a grown ass man and he’s allowed to feel things like…he has the fate of his entire planet resting on his shoulders and the fact that he’s on a suicide mission, a mission he never took willingly. And Rocky, the only friend he has in space, just offered him salvation. Y’all would probably cry too.

People who cry because they’re angry, because they’re scared, because they’re happy, because that’s their body’s first response to high emotions, should not be infantilized. We’re not innocent little sunshine babies who wouldn’t hurt a fly, we aren’t cutesy, we’re regular fucking people and we deserve the same amount of respect as anyone else. Stop fucking labeling everything you set your eyes on. Just let people exist without having the need to define them for one trait oh my god.
