Petite Pico Proe is Perfect for Parlaying with a Pi Penta

if you got a Pi 5 and you want to log in or debug without ssh'ing or using a monitor and keyboard - there's now a super fast and easy way to get into the UART console - thanks to the new JST SH 3-pin 'UART' port nestled between the HDMI connectors. Use your Pico Probe and connect the 3-pin cable to the 'U' port - the probe board will appear as a COM/serial port, and you can open it up with any terminal program. we love using it for kernel debugging because the connection stays open between reboots and you'll get all messages directly printed, plus the early boot messages…even ones before the firmware is loaded or the display comes up.

No final de Outubro estará disponível no mercado a nova versão do Raspberry Pi.

O Raspberry Pi 5 tem um novo SoC com um novo processador Broadcom BCM2712 e com uma nova placa-gráfica VideoCore VII GPU. Recorrendo a uma tecnologia de 16 nanómetros, o novo equipamento equilibra os ganhos de performance (em relação à versão anterior) com a relação custo de equipamento.

O equipamento inclui também novas interfaces de I/O (Input/Output) que são geridas através de um controlador totalmente personalizado com a designação RP1.

Na Internet podem já ser encontradas várias análises ao Raspberry Pi 5 que demonstram a versatilidade do equipamento e os incrementos de performance nas mais diversas tarefas de computação.

O equipamento estará disponível em duas versões diferentes com 4GB e 8GB, por um preço de referência de 60 dólares e 80 dólares, respectivamente.

Raspberry Pi 5 kommt

Der Raspberry Pi 5 steht kurz vor der Veröffentlichung und verspricht eine große Leistungssteigerung im Vergleich zum Pi 4. So wird er einen schnelleren Prozessor, neue Schnittstellen wie PCI Express und einen eigenen I/O-Chip haben. Außerdem wird er einen Ein-/Aus-Schalter, einen schnelleren SD-Kartenleser und sogar einen PCI-Express-Steckplatz bieten. Der Pi 5 wird etwas teurer sein und möglicherweise eine stärkere Stromversorgung und neue Gehäuse erfordern. Insgesamt ist er eine leistungsstärkere und vielseitigere Option für Projekte, aber der Pi 4 oder ältere Modelle könnten immer noch ausreichend sein. Der Pi 5 wird voraussichtlich im Oktober 2023 erhältlich sein.

Nyarlavember

My good friend roborogue decided that every day of November will be dedicated to Lovecraft themed art. Check out this post for more details.

I decided to join in! Since my art skills are extremely limited, I decided to go for a journal kind of Nyarlavember, following the casebook of an Agent from PI5(Paranormal Intelligence Bureau, Section 5) named Vincent Cushing, looking into the disappearance of another agent.

Along the way, Agent Cushing will find the Nyarlavember sketches, telling a story behind the missing Agent.

So my contributions will be in the form of a handwritten journal, with that Nyarlavember day's sketch glued to the opposite page.
