13/100 days of practice || Oscar Peterson’s Minuet No. 2 after nine takes. This Minuet is one of my favorite exercises so far. CONFESSION TIME: I find social media draining. If possible, I would like to quit it. So what’s this all for, then? Just for show? NOT AT ALL. I believe in the power of consistency and perseverance. Practice makes progress, and we will reap that if we don’t give up. Sometimes, We might not be getting the results we want. That’s fine. We have expectations, and we tend to set them too high. What’s important is getting the progress that we need. No matter how small it is, it’s still progress. 11/100 || Exercise No. 1 || I’ve been wanting to learn jazz, but not quite sure where to start. I remember a piano instructor recommend Oscar Peterson’s book to me though. So here I am starting somewhere! (1/2) 2nd round (2/2) 1st round The content of the book seemed simple to me at first, but when I tried playing it, my brain got the same effect it receives when I approach a Bach piece. 7/100 days of practice || My live stream yesterday got cut. But these are a few of the things I do during my practice. (1-3/4) I run through some scales before moving on to my exercise/s and pieces. I'm not sure how to improve this process, but I hope to work with a teacher again soon! (4/5) I move on to the piece I'm working on: I took it easy with Moon River.
