hey zumi!!! a couple friends and i were talking about ace attorney dual destinies (GREAT game by the way.) and started joking that talon and simon blackquill were separated at birth because they both similar design motifs (two-toned ponytail hair, bird companions). seeing as youre the simon blackquill superfan and also that kieran rejuv and godot are also freakishly similar (kitty cat..............), was talon's design inspired in party by simon blackquill? does my "talon is simon's gayer australian cousin" theory hold water

Kieran had more of an accidental likeness to Godot—it just kinda turned out that way bc of how Jan described him while I was working on his art/sprites, and only really noticed afterwards.

However, Talon's hair was directly inspired by Simon Blackquill, yes! That's about where the direct references end though HAHA... The bird companion just kinda comes with the job of being a Flying type specialist. Everything else is taken more from old school pilot/falconer/adventurer type of attire!
