Pingxie Snippets - Wu Xie being jealous
Here’s a fun little snippet from Tibetan Sea Flower. This particular snippet does not contain any spoilers.
Context: Wu Xie hurt his arm, and Pangzi had to help him set it.

Fatty grabbed my wrist and pressed down on my joint, immediately causing me to scream, “Shouldn’t you say something to distract me?”
“Well, actually, every time I go to your house, I use your toothbrush.” Fatty said, quickly and violently pressing down on my hand. My back arched and I broke out in a cold sweat. I pushed him away with my other hand and said: “Wait wait wait! Although that’s disturbing, it’s not enough to distract me.”
Fatty shook his hands and said, “Then I’ll say something you won’t be able to accept. Before he came to see you, Little Brother also came to see me and told me something.”
When I looked at Fatty, my brain suddenly exploded: “What did you say—ah!!!!” Fatty gave a hard push and my arm was reset with a sound that was enough to make one’s teeth ache.
I gave the loudest roar I had ever given in my life, not only from the pain, but also anger at the fact that Fatty had concealed this from me.
After my hand was set, the sharp pain emanating from within my skin slowly scattered. The unbearably bitter feeling disappeared, and I was left with a throbbing pain that seemed tolerable. I moved my arm a little, and even though the pain was still unbearable, it wasn’t the kind that left my mind blank, unable to even think.
“The ligaments and muscles are strained, and the cartilage is also very seriously injured. Try not to use this hand. We need to go out and make a bandage to wrap around your neck.” Fatty said: “First, you should check and see if I did it right. If I didn’t, I’ll break it for you and start all over again. I can’t afford to pay if you become crippled.”
I lay down gasping and tried to regain my composure, before asking Fatty, “What did he say to you?”
“Who said what?” Fatty asked vaguely, as he copied me and lay down to rest. King Yama was still trying to climb in, but we all ignored it.
“Inadequate Brother, is it useful to play dumb at this time?” I asked. “You always have a hundred things to say, so if you stay quiet, it must be true. You must be going crazy trying to keep it in. Come on, don’t embarrass yourself.”
Fatty glared at me: “Ah, little guy, recently you’ve been quite cocky, even with your manner of speech. I’m not happy with what you said. Let me tell you, I, Fat Master, am able to hold my tongue.”
I knew from his expression that I was right, but he could hold out for a few more days if we fought. The problem was that he was used to it, but I couldn’t stand it.
I stewed over it for a while and came up with a solution. Although it wasn’t quite appropriate, I knew there wasn’t any other convenient way, so I said, “I didn’t tell you about Yun Cai.” I looked at my fingernails under the torch. “But I can hold it in, too.”
I saw Fatty crawling over, “You’re lying.”
“The information I want to exchange with you, you know how important it is to me. I wouldn’t lie about it.”
Since this is a whole snippet, there’s less to analyze over the language / wording. But I do think this sums up the questionably healthy Pingxie relationship 🤣. Oh Wu Xie, such a single-tracked mind... instant jealousy and low blow threats for anything pertaining to Xiaoge.
