Alright, what do we got here 🔍
Tanagaki modestly caked up. Shirashi upsettingly caked up. We've seen Sugimoto naked like 200 times. Ogata is FUCKING SHREDDED but in that lean hardened way. And Kiroranke....
H.... hi.....
like a good yogic | spirituality
my guy and i have a joke, we call my yoga, "yogic." it started as a simple auto correct on my phone, i was trying to tell him about how wonderful yoga has been for my body and brain. it switched to how wonderful my yogic has been... for whatever reason, we can't go back to saying just yoga.
the thing is, they are literally the exact same thing. the definitions are identical. of or relating to yoga. but something about using yogic makes me feel so much more spiritually in tune.
i think you see where this is going. i'm coming back to my spiritual month folks. and it's perfect timing for a couple of reasons.
first, my contract is ending here at world vision. my introductory experience into christianity is coming to end this friday. no more morning devotionals, no more wednesday chapel. no more jesus sculpture holding out bread to three children. (well, i suppose i could always come back to visit him.) but does that mean no more faith? absolutely not.
which leads me to point number two for timing. i finished reading enLIGHTened by jessica berger gross on sunday. that's right. i read it in it's entirety in a day and a half. so here i am, wide awake on god. still trying to figure him out. still wrestling with his place in my life.
if you would like to refresh your memory on my previous intro to this goal, you can find it here, but you should know much has changed since that post in my exploration of faith and i suspect i've got more than a month to go. but this month, while i'm practicing my yogic in my living room and calming my brain as it revs for the changes that are coming, i'm gonna devote a whole lotta time and energy to getting right with my god. training my consciousness for spiritual insight and tranquility. which also happens to be another definition of yogic.
namaste.

this month i'll reuse again and below you'll find my...
mini pieces of holy:
#meditate. meditate, twice a day, 15 minutes each. (to start).
#rub my belly. laughing buddha for a girl who loves to laugh, explore buddhism.
#peaks. when i was a girl showing early signs of taking life far too serious, mama jules made me write ten things i loved about my life. all these years later, i get to tell you about what i now call my life’s peaks.
#pits. gretchen rubin (the original happiness project author) decided to study human kind during life’s catastrophes during her eternity month, sounds morbid, but i think we learn the most about life and happiness through other’s pits.
#kindness. “my religion is kindness,” dalai lama.
#my body, my temple. third time is a charm at treating my body the way ancient greeks worshiped the naked gods. now, if you’ll excuse me, i have a stack of books to study and 15 minutes to listen to my breathing while letting my gut grin.
but i'd also like to add back in setting my weekly intention, if i can get my enlightened brain to remember. maybe i'll set an alarm or something. would that be god's timing or mine?
