At the moment;

Planet C-0-0-1 ?

sounds like a horrible excuse to call it cold, but that’s our current name I suppose.

possible cold centered universe;

the main plot was going to be something about lots of fire/demon/hell creatures were summoned or something to heat up the planet. they eventually became some sort of working/lower class species on the planet?

possible character sheet for this universe?

yeah it’s a possible world i maybe will further work on, but not really a current major project.

I’m planning on making something a lot more interesting (in my opinion) anyways, but hey, I can work on this too I suppose, just don’t have a lot of inspiration.

So now that we have the basics for our planet Pane we are going to work on the culture and some more detail.

So an important point is the tech level and the Star Port level.  Pane has space-aged technology but limited Starport access, meaning they are very advanced but their port is shit.

Since we decided that under it’s frozen surface the planet has a lot of hot sports we can make the main source of power on the planet, thermal.

So this means the planet’s power plants probably use hot lava, this could set the scene for some tense action sequences.

Pane likely had a very active personal industry so you can consider ship designs, they are likely made to land and run in cold weather.

The planet is mainly wetlands maybe this planet is primarily an ice planet underwater volcanos have liquefied parts of the surface, making vast warm oceans with unique and dangerous life forms.

The majority of the landmasses can be formed by the volcanos and vegetable material and animal material, giving the wetlands great land for growing things and finding interesting plants.

The planet makes luxury goods, so likely before the rise of the empire they were making these things before.

I did some google searches about ocean luxury goods to get some ideas and this came to me maybe the planet primarily makes beauty products and has spas and the like.

Now the Empire has taken over, part of me thought maybe I should find another industry for them to be enforcing but then my brain went money.  What if the planet is still making cosmetics, beauty masks from their wetlands etc, but the Empire is putting all the profit into their war machine.

Our next look at this Planet should be a quick before and after of what the culture has been like.

Maybe we can get into some interesting ideas and plot hooks.

Planet Building: A Heavy Gravity Planet

Under the cut, are 14 factors to take into account when developing a heavy gravity planet. 

↳ It would have a large nuclear, made of heavy metals; if said nuclear is active, there would be frequent earthquakes. What protections would your species have in place against this?

↳ The planet will contain high amounts of heavy elements, meaning high levels of toxicity. Native species will have naturally evolved an immunity against this, but what about foreigners?

↳ Rivers will flow faster, eroding with greater force, meaning fewer mountains, unless their geography is particularly active.

↳ Their landscape would be large plains and highly eroded hills.

↳ In the ocean, the pressure would be immense. Also, tides would be smaller—this would affect the length of the days.

↳ Due to the heavy gravity, things won’t grow as tall—think how this would affect crops. Noticeably, trees would be much smaller and much wider.

↳ Also, rain and hail would be deadly.

↳ There would be no flying animals. This means the natives probably wouldn’t ever produce aircraft due to the difficulties in achieving a high enough escape velocity, and the fact they would have no real-life examples of such a thing happening.

↳ This means fewer connections with the external world, meaning less trade.

↳ Their economy would go into isolation, perhaps nationalising, and they wouldn’t be competitive, with outdated factories.

↳ Their species would be shorter than humans, with strong muscles, bones, hearts, and blood vessels.

↳ Heart diseases, arteritis and bone diseases could prove common.

↳ They would not make large cities, because buildings would be difficult to make as protection from elements would be required.

↳ So, suburbs—they would probably be quite autonomous, but with low technology levels.
