Talk about a great off the path book. I got the first in the series free and after not being able to put the book down and basiclly staying up for hours reading it I bought the rest of the series.
Avery is a young girl who has had a very tough life, as has the rest of the world. 200 years later after years of chemical warfare the Earth is a wasteland. Their are mutents and murderious animals and people who will do anything to stay alive and have you as their dinner. Avery has spent her whole life fighting and doing anything she can to protect her little sister June. One day they venture out to find food after not eating for far to long and she comes across other humans. Avery and her sister have been alone since their father died and are not ready to socilize with a whole group of people. Avery is even more flustered when she meets the younge man with them. Can the group find safty and maybe keep their lives and limbs in the process?
