i personally don't believe aziraphale would be a naval officer in the golden age of piracy, but would instead adopt a kind of 'stede bonnet' approach to piracy that results in him being invariably captured and needing to be rescued several times over - that is, until crowley can physically pick him up and place him on land, under strict instructions never to board a ship ever again 🩷

Funfact I have the aziraphale angel mug because my friends are great and gifted it to me but it can’t go into the microwave to get my milk for cocoa warm because the wings get too hot so I have to put this black mug which can hold exactly the same amount of milk into the microwave first :) they’re together in every lifetime

so here's another interesting translation tidbit I found scrolling through the english/japanese script:

when Alphys starts calling herself stupid for thinking Undyne could actually like her, Kris has two dialogue options, both of which even in english try to dissuade her:

but in japanese, "it's because of me" (which is true, Kris does have responsibility for Undyne getting kidnapped) is changed to "I'm sorry".

Alphys mistakes both "I'm sorry" and "it's because of me" for them apologizing for eating one of the delivered chocolates

but they're actually seemingly genuinely apologizing for getting Undyne kidnapped and making Alphys think she just hates her.
