This article on ew "Marlene King says new Pretty Little Liars mystery has 'some connection' to the past" is covering her butt saying not enough to time to show all that she wanted. The network gave her two hours and she did a clips show rtc for one hour. She could have extended PLL finale by ten minutes and actually shown us Charlotte at new facility and Jason and Ali visiting her or Ali saying she is staying in rosewood to take care of her or at the least shown the moms get out of basement. BS!

Once I realized how little thought went into the continuity of the show and of Cece’s motive I am actually glad that the finale didn’t go for any longer. Otherwise there would have been more crap to have gotten under my skin.

This show is messed up...Jason has kissed his sister and his brother. Two siblings? Really. Toby will find out his mom was killed so Charles wouldn't be seen in a dress and that Mona accidentally killed his mom's killer. Messed up. Toby or Jason have to have a psychotic break at the end of this season. And then Sara is a willing participant of the doll house? 09/07 Labor Day Monday duh. No thought to any of this. Find out story over a monitor? Easily can change WHO was Charles w few reshoots

Cont. What does the 901 free at last mean if they confirm from password 9/7 was Labor Day? What happens to CeCe? They glossed over everything. Did Cece never have surgery and that's the only reason she didn't pursue Jason more? She kissed her brother knowingly. Sara thinks she was keeping girls safe? Umm. What happened to her run away story? They had to have changed the ending. The last minute and first two minutes don't even line up. Teenager Toby who was really like 5 or 6 when mom died grrrr

3. The BFs are nowhere to be found? tanner's expensive shoes are explained in a flip Hannah comment? Cece can drag Jason and Mr D to radley unseen and with incredible strength? And get Alison there undetected? No explanation of the birthday and the completely off age differences.  Everyone was guessing at CeCe and a trans plot twist. Why was the cast so shocked? Why was everyone in tears? Crying at lame ending with serious plot holes/timeline? Cece needed a better story to be acceptable as A

Varjak is still out there but who cares anymore. They could just trabsgender one of the PLLs or bring back 10 people from the grave. What sanitarium (corrupt or otherwise) give out day passes to a person they think murdered an inpatient so they can go to college? Far fetched. No basis in reality. All timelines off. Huge age issues with Cece Jason and Alison.  Toby's age with mom. What a wAste of time

Last one... I promise The line that Hannah or Aria said "you spent all this time trying to get back to your family" doesn't make sense for Cece. She dated her brother for a year and was bestows with Alison after that. She saw her mom until she "killed" Alison. So it HAD to be a different character that was originally picked to be Charles. One that didn't have any interaction with his family and wanted it so desperately. lots of cameras were single views of Cece rather than group. easily switched

MY RESPONSE:

I havn’t seen anyone talk about the 901 907 thing yet but at the time I was like totally dumbfounded because all along I have been hung up on the fact that labour day weekend 2009 fell on 6th 7th. But the entire show they claimed that Ali went missing on 1st, like Toby’s tattoo. Yet in the lost woods guest book they said Ali was there the day before she went missing ....the 6th... and then they give it even more importance as the access code. Sara said it was 5 days after she was kidnapped he gave her a red white and blue cupcake meaning that she was kidnapped the 2nd.(The whole show is litered with timeline faults please see THIS POST from ages ago)

The ages being off has me pissed of beyond belief. The showrunners are just assholes IMO. They have seen our posts and they know that we screen grab everything and figure it out on logic with peoples ages and what not and then BAM the entire 6A has just been thrown together with no regard for the years spent being dedicated to detail. I wonder if they have just gotten so cocky and know that we would watch regarless and they just stopped caring OR maybe the show was never as clever as all of us thought.

I can’t believe that they think what they had was genious. The acting and the imagery was great but it means nothing to me without a storyline. I feel sorry for the cast because their acting was great but viewers will ultimately be lost because of bad writing.

I’m not against the trans story or Cece. BUT I really wish they could rewrite the same thing without the plot holes. Like why couldn’t they have made it that Charles “died” and became Charlotte but Charlotte never went back to Radley. Like maybe she lived with aunt carol or Grandma D and that is how she was able to be friends with Ali and Jason and be prom queen. No one would have known she was Charles because of the gender change. Maybe Mrs D even let her rent that place with the expired lease and gave her money. She could even have gone back to Radley as a visitor to Bethany and the Marion thing could have happened then at the appropriate time. IT HAD THE POTENTIAL FOR THAT STORYLINE TO WORK BUT THEY SCREWED IT UP.

I was going to rewrite the finale without the plot hole and make it my final(e) theory....But I guess I basically did. (with more effort than the writers of PLL did anyway.

Are we coming face to face with Charles/A or just the PLLs on 11 August? The stories must all interconnect or it will not be satisfying to get all of the alleged answers in a 40-42 minute episode? Who is the brunette in flashback hospital scene that the nurse is looking in on?(6x10 promo) Are the girls paying for the sins of their parents? Totally need answers. Real answers

Apparently it is no lie we will come face to face with Charles at the start of the episode.

I think the person is Mona t Radley it looked like the scene where redcoat visited Mona

I think that the girls have done something wrong but it will tie in to secrets relating to the parents

I am like all fingers and toes crossed that we get answers

what of bethenny was put up for adoption after her real father's wife learned of his affair with Jessica? What if the ex-wife of bethenny's father is Detective Tanner? And she blames the DiLaurentis family for ruining her life and since Jessica had another affair with Mr. Hastings, she is head full of vengeance against all of the A-dulterers of rosewood. She is thin and could be black veil (see ep through the glass darkly at the 6 or 7 minute mark). identifies with Charles as a victim to them

I guess we shall find out very soon. cant wait

Close encounters episode. Aria and Ezra at a table around 5:33 mark. Aria asks Ezra if they can spend morning together. Ezra says he is off to Philly to meet college buddy. Aria asks "Freddy?" Ezra says "no.(hesitates) Curtis the lacrosse guy". It sounded like she said Freddy. Has anyone heard it differently and a different name was asked about?

No she says “Hardy?” as in the college friend of his that she met in the bar the night he did a poetry reading!

I find it interesting that the photography internship contest and Hannah's scholarship are both organizations that start with the letter C. Translating from Italian, carissimi means "dear". From Spanish, cardillo means "golden thistle". I'm trying to figure out "dear golden thistle" as being a message being sent to expose A or red coat. I think red coat is setting up Charles to take fall so she can torment girls down the road in 6B and 7. How many more weeks until they maybe reveal everything?

Two more episodes of this season. I like the idea that redcoat is setting Charles up. Especially if she ends up being the same chatracter as blackveil who is meant to be endgame.

As for the cardillo translation - what about the golden thistle being the photography award equivalent of the golden orchid historical writing award that Spencer won ages ago (when she stole Melissa’s essay) perhaps a link there.

I am grateful to you for commenting on my previous theories. Your PLL knowledge is impressive. Charles is alive. 15 months older than Melissa and Jason. He was in Radley. He and Bethenny escaped "that night". Have we seen him before? If he was locked up and ESCAPED rather than sneak in and out of Radley, then it is likely that he is someone the girls haven't seen before that day. Ezra was known by Alison but new to group. Maya was new. Who else dropped into Rosewood new from that point forward?

Well I guess the go to character is Wren. But I hope it’s not him. I don’t know why Im just not feeling it.

I would rather (albeit less believable) one of these options:

that Toby was put in Radley instead of going to reform school and got out that night and he is connected to Charles as a result OR

Jenna being linked to Charles because she also left the blind school that night. (maybe the blind school was just a cover?) OR

Charles death was faked and he snuck back into Radley that night to free Bethany and someone saw him and recognized him and that is why Leslie overheard his name.

Meanwhile all this is dependant on the idea that Mona was telling the truth!

New theory. Wren is A. Melissa black veil. Never engaged. Just siblings wanting to have the life their parents stole from them. Melissa mad at Spencer not for stealing man, but because they are related to him and Spencer didn't know. Wren did all of this to keep his family close and never leave him again. Everything was a means to keeping them together. Mr. H and mrs. D disagreed on what to do w him so mr H faked his death and sent him to England for boarding school for a real shot at a life

This would totally gross me out because we saw Wren kissing both Spencer & Melissa. I really hope that there is no incest on the show.

I know that they had Melissa and her supposed sibling Jason kiss BUT I am willing to bet that Charles was Peter’s not Jason, meaning that Melissa and Jason’s kiss was not really incestuous.
