☆ Welcome to POFSI-culture-is! ☆
The premise of this blog is to share aspects of/stories about the POFSI experience. It is preferable that asks and submissions start with “POFSI culture is,” but that is not a strict requirement, if an alternative format makes the point of the post clearer.
A note: if you feel like reading through this blog is encouraging your unhealthy delusions/triggering unreality/otherwise causing you distress, please feel free to block! This blog is meant to be a space of positivity and solidarity, so if the posts on it feel like they run counter to that objective for you, remember that curating a healthy online space for yourself is far more important than the possibility of accidentally offending anybody. I will not be offended, so long as you do not send hate :) /gen
Asks + submissions are OPEN!!
Coined by @idwl, this term stands for the “Perception of Fictionality’s Sapience and Independence.”
It is defined by its coiner as “…a term for those who perceive characters— specifically ones from media perceived as fictional— as having sapience and autonomy, as well as being alive. Reasons for this may vary, and being POFSI may be induced by delusions, spiritual beliefs, alterhumanity, neurodivergency, POSICness, etc.” This term is open to everyone, and because of this, submissions and asks on this blog are also open to everyone!

Also coined by @idwl, this term is essentially a POFSI-specific version of the “significant other/fictional other” phrasing common to self-shipping communities and general vernacular. It stands for “POFSI other,” or “pofsic other.”
Examples of this term in use: “This person is my new P/O.” “My P/O would like this movie.” “P/O, have you drank any water yet today?” “Imagine your P/O…”, etc.
