Just a little Pokeball before work since I was wanting to go simple.

We need more Pokeballs!

While watching TheJWittz's "Kaizo Ironmon" streams, the topic came up that we haven't gotten any new pokeballs for a core game in.... a couple generations, really.

To me, the easiest way to diversify pokeballs would be to add more type-dependent balls like the Net Ball (or stat- and biome-dependent ones like the Heavy and Dive/Lure Balls). I had a fun time picking out thematic ties between types to group them together. This proposed list of hypothetical balls is mostly type-dependent, with a couple others mixed in for fun and flavour.

Slow Ball / Inertia Ball - A heavy, slow-flying ball. Works best on targets with low SPEED.

Insulated Ball - Built with heavy-duty insulation to withstand extreme heat and energy surges. Works best on FIRE and ELECTRIC types.

Baffling Ball - Built with additional mechanisms to baffle and dampen a target's mind. Works best on PSYCHIC and FAIRY types.

Binding Ball - Inscribed with seals to contain malicious energies. Works best on DARK and GHOST types.

Glint Ball - Made with eye-catching materials to fascinate a target's attention. Works best on BUG and FLYING types.

Scatter Ball - An unusual ball that splits into many pieces to capture a Pokemon. Works best on Pokemon made up of multiple bodies.

Reinforced Ball - Built to withstand resistance from strong-bodied Pokemon. Works best on FIGHTING and STEEL types.

Mineral Ball - A ball made of unrefined materials to make certain Pokemon feel more at home. Works best on GROUND and ROCK types.

Magnetic Ball - Incorporates magnets to secure and disorient the target. Works best on STEEL and ELECTRIC types (OR, STEEL and FLYING types, depending on flavour!)

Thermal Ball - Built with extra insulation to withstand extreme temperatures. Works best on FIRE and ICE types.

Hoard Ball - A ball with a glittering, decorated interior that makes DRAGON types feel at home.

Verdant Ball / Habitat Ball - A ball that duplicates the environment close by. Works best on GRASS and GROUND types.

Detox Ball - Contains mechanisms to neutralize dangerous chemicals. Works best on POISON types, and cures the Poisoned condition from captured Pokemon.
