Completely odd Pokemon ScVi thought

So it's canon there's a Rotom in the phone, right?

And in the Alola games, the Rotom in the dex can talk to you, right?

So why doesn't it speak in the ScVi games?

Not only that, but why doesn't it translate what your pokemon are saying during picnics or the play time or whatnot?

I think that would have been a fun mechanic

I feel like the Daniel -- Cooler Daniel meme with Silvally and Arceus in particular is fascinating in the context of the Ultra Beasts. Humanity is under attack from a group of strange extradimensional beings, so we create a pale image of the God of our reality, the creator of the beings that uphold our sanctity of time and space, to defend us from the threat, and then it didn't help. not even a little bit. in fact it only made things worse.

I just love the implications of it all. Just because we're getting attacked by aliens doesn't mean we get to avoid punishment for trying to recreate God. Also, everything is ultimately solved through the powers of both friendship and incredible violence.
