Pls i love thinking about polyamorous characters and just some quirks they would have as a trope.

Character 1: "BAAABEE-!" They call out from the kitchen

Character 2: they pop their head into the kitchen "yes babe?"

Character 1: "not you! The other one!"

Character 2: "oh, ok. BAAAAABEEEEE!!"

Character 3: a distant voice from the other side of the house "YES BABE?"

Or just, character 1 calling out for a specific one, and it cuts to the others just sitting in the same room, cuddling, asking each other; 'oooh... who do you think that was to?' And then debaiting who goes down to check.

I WOULD LIKE TO OFFICIALLY PROPOSE A NEW FANFIC PROMPT

BASICALLY the idea is everyone everywhere in the world has a rose bush, and it's a magical rose bush of love, that works differently for royals than it does for "commoners", IE theres family rose bushes for "commoners" vs specifically cultivated rose bushes for individual royals.

Symbolically its like a physical manifestation and cultivation of someone's love in a beautiful flower, doesn't have to be a rose but thats the most common. Floriography can and will be used dude im so passionate about floriography.

Maybe in the past it was a solemn political thing, and each rose was swapped as a promise and a dowry for marriages.

Im also an avid reader of Cinderella-like soulmate aus, so I figure it could be altered to work like that too.

I have a vision of a prince/idol/popstar-like figure tossing their rose out over a sea of people from a stage or balcony to float magically over people's heads before landing in the hands of someone, choosing them. Like the sorting hat but the ultimate "special" moment, yknow?

And it would be so funny if it was sunshine x grumpy character and the sunshine is the idol and the grumpy character was the one who was dragged to the concert in the first place by their friend, and they had no intention of actually being chosen but instead theyre catapulted into the spotlight. (Bonus points if they've met before [meet cute or meet rude or childhood friends etc and so forth])

This would also work so well with a hanahaki au if you want angst, magical flowers and such. Like if Character A fell in love fast and hard and plucked their rose to give to Character B because they were sure they reciprocated, only to be rejected (accidentally, unknowingly or intentionally) and have the magic fold in on itself and manifest in their lungs.

And in the opposite direction i had a vision of family fluff from an outside perspective of a mother at home watching her children's flowers bloom until the day they come home to pluck it to give it to their chosen at their wedding, like Molly Weasley. (Maybe a god watching their pantheon?)

It also doesn't even have to just be one love or bloom. Someone (like a pirate or traveller) could hold dried petals from their rose in a locket to give to people they fall in love with. The petals get rehydrated and thrive with the love they channel and feel while their relationship develops.

OR the locket holds the petals of the people who've fallen in love with them.

I originally had wanted to write a story with the concept and then I had the idea to use it for a fanfic idea as one does.

And now I feel like it works so well as a fanfic prompt that I need to share it :D.

A and B are dating and are planning on getting married very soon, however, C has been feeling very lonely since the two first started dated so they want to join in on the relationship but aren't sure how to bring it up to the two without sounding creepy or awkward or desperate.

C and B are snuggling and A joins in on the snuggling session. Poly ships go brrr!!!
