So I made the silly megop comic because I said I would, and I figured might as well since I’m here

I don’t think I got the poses, dialogue, timing and expressions down 100% right for maximum comedy, but hopefully it’s close enough that it’s still funny. I may or may not have limited it to only four panels so I could post it on Twitter easier. If there were no limits, there’d be two panels of silence, to show how long it went on, and silence basically being an admission

But anyways, to reiterate what I said last night when explaining this idea: basically someone kidnapped the secret megop kid (Megatron had them not long after their breakup, he sent them away as soon as possible, and did not tell Optimus) bc there’s rumors about that they have one, and they planned to use them as a hostage to get the two leaders to do what they want. Unfortunately they are not aware that Optimus doesn’t know about the situation, so it’s not going to go exactly how they planned

Optimus is very confused because he’s been 100% sure they don’t have a kid. Megatron knows they do, but isn’t sure if the kidnapper is legit or not and actually has the kid, and is also panicking because now Optimus is at risk of finding out, and he’s one of the top people he doesn’t want knowing (“one of” because Starscream’s another person on that list). But his internal questioning and his external silence is not helping the situation, because now it’s putting the possibility in OP’s head

I’ve thought more on the scenario after this, but maybe I should just save it for another time

I used the g1 designs because I know them fairly well, but it probably isn’t the g1 versions of them dealing with this

The drawings themselves are crude, but this is poorly drawn comics, this is how it’s supposed to be

Anyways yeah, take the funny. Or at least I thought it was funny

I made this stupid little sketch today based on a whole stream of thoughts I had

So basically this all started with me thinking about how in canon, Mimir is Puck and from what I understand, Midsummer Night’s Dream is canon to God of War. I have read this play and I know that it takes place near Athens and the backdrop to the story is Theseus and Hippolyta getting married. And given that we meet Theseus in God of War 2, this means that at some point in the timeline, Kratos and Mimir were canonically both in Greece at the same time

Though, given that Theseus seems older than Kratos, most likely this marriage would have taken place when Kratos was either a child or teenager, and also given that Athens and Sparta hate each other and are pretty far apart, there’s not really any reason for Puck Mimir and Kratos to have crossed paths. But I can still imagine the scenario of them unknowingly meeting in my head. The chances are low but not zero

Then I was thinking about the Puck in this one version of MND I’ve seen and imagining Mimir in that costume. And then I was looking at the picture and imagining him shooting someone with a water pistol

And so this all culminated in “Puck Mimir shoots teenage Kratos with a water pistol”. In my poorly drawn form because it doesn’t really need to be a high quality piece, it’s just here to be funny

Also another related thought, but I’ve also imagined the two of them not thinking much of this encounter afterwards, but then one day they’re telling stories and get on the subject of Mimir’s misadventures in Greece, and then this story comes up and they suddenly have the realization that “holy shit we’ve met before”

Someone in the Discord server set the scene better than me, where basically Mimir’s telling his story and Kratos interjects like “that’s not what happened, I was there” and Mimir’s like “wait, that was you?!”

While I was dealing with my headache, this thought came back to my head and I finally went and drew the comic to go with it

I admit, not very good drawings, but it’s poorly drawn comics for a reason, and you get the gist of it

For reference, I had this thought once of basically taking the Lil Petey thing from Dogman (because it was inspired by clips from the new movie that I still haven’t seen but want to), but making it Megatron/D-16

Featuring g1 Megatron’s design because g1 Megatron is absolutely the guy to do this, silly schemes like this are his bread and butter. He’s even made clones before, just not of himself (at least as far as I’ve seen). And they also work as intended, but for the sake of the joke

Though honestly I really like the idea of Megatron having a clone that’s his pre-war D-16 self, and the drama that can come with it from self reflection on who he is now. And potentially Optimus’ reaction to discovering this. I kind of don’t want to just leave at this silly comic

But where it directly goes from here, I’m not sure. Maybe Megatron kicks him out and Optimus finds him, and decides to take him back with him even if this is a tiny Megatron, because it’s not Megatron Megatron, just a younger version of him, and the regular is still causing problems

D-16 meanwhile isn’t really sure what’s going on, he’s just happy to be here. He does not have the life experience of Megatron to make him violent and evil, he’s just a little guy

Maybe Megatron gets him back and he and Optimus end up with a joint custody situation of D-16 here, like how I think it is with Lil Petey in Dogman (I haven’t actually read the series so I’m not sure on the details of the situation)

I don’t know, but I like this idea regardless of it being ripped straight from Dogman, let me have this. Or if anyone else wants to explore the idea, feel free, I don’t mind

Okay I’ll elaborate more whenever I finish the page, but this was essentially my stupid thought involving Megatronus and Solus I mentioned earlier

I’m showing you this because I’m impatient and also I drew the first couple things at work, and coming back now I have different vibes, and it might end up different by the end of it all

I’m also realizing now that the tiny head is way too big, and that’s probably why it’s looked off the whole time I tried to draw it. I’ll have to fix that later. Megatronus also doesn’t look that great either

But anyways, back to the thing itself. Basically my thought was that Solus is a blacksmith, and Megatronus is on fire and kind of looks like a furnace in some iterations. And also of course, Megatron basically being some sort of derivative version of Megatronus, given he named himself after the Prime

So basically, Solus and Megatronus combine their skills to make a bot, and that bot is Megatron. They named him that because he just looks like a smaller Megatronus

This was more cohesive in my head, and also the too large tiny Megs head is really bothering me now. But yes, this was my thought, and I’ll elaborate more some other time

I also attempted some Solus and Megatronus designs. But again, these were at work, so they might need some more tweaking still. Megatronus more than Solus, I mostly like how she looks outside of maybe some color tweaks

So I was gonna make a comic about Abyss Monarch being emo, but all I had were random jokes about it with no setup, so it just ended up being this

I think the idea was that in Kingdom, they were gathering all the Legendaries, and so Sea Fairy brought Abyss Monarch, who’s sitting in the corner doing their eyeshadow. They also hate being here

I know I said before it’d be neat having Abyss Monarch and Black Pearl be related, but at some point it shifted over to Abyss Monarch and Sea Fairy being related, I think because in my head it went “so Sea Fairy represents the sea, and Abyss Monarch represents the deep sea” while Black Pearl is more of a powerful creature of the sea

Though also, I think I might have done that for the sake of this joke, with Sea Fairy being like, “yeah, they’re going through some sort of phase right now” and Abyss Monarch’s like “it’s not a phase, MOM!” If it were Black Pearl, I feel like she would encourage this new behavior and be like “yes, give in to your hatred!”

But upon remembering why I said I wanted Black Pearl and Abyss Monarch to be related, I began to go back to that. Honestly I don’t know which one I prefer now, but I suppose it depends on whether Abyss Monarch is more “creature of the sea” or “representation of an aspect of the sea”

I know I’ve been beating the emo thing like a dead horse, but I think I just needed to get these drawings out of my system, and hopefully I’ll be good

But I just think Abyss Monarch being a little emo is funny

Also assuming their original name was Octopus, Abyss Monarch kind of does sound like an edgy new name, like you’d see for a stereotypical emo phase

I mentioned before my confusion on the whole “Dark Cacao Chocolate” bit on Dark Choco’s new outfit, and now I’ve just come to the conclusion that it’s his full name

I mentioned in the tags that I thought it’d be funny to have a scene where Dark Cacao calls out to Dark Choco and calls him by his full name, and Dark Choco knows he’s messed up because of it. Like, you know when you’re in trouble when your parents call you by your full name? Basically that. So I decided to draw that here because I thought it was funny

To be honest, not sure I like how Dark Cacao turned out. I kind of half assed him, and I feel like redoing him. I’ll update the drawing if I do

But yeah, take this joke, hope you enjoy

Edit: I completely redrew Dark Cacao, much more satisfied with this.

It has also come to my attention that unfortunately, this was actually just a bad translation of the new outfit, and it’s just supposed to be Dark Choco Cookie

And they’ve updated the costume descriptions to be more accurate now, and here’s how Dark Choco’s now reads, with no mention of the Dark Cacao Chocolate

Ah well, it was fun while it lasted. But hey, maybe we can keep it as a headcanon
