JBL EON210P First Look at Winter NAMM 2011

Good Portable PA has always been a hot commodity. Being able to set-up a great sounding, lightweight PA system in very little time is what most mobile DJs or coffee house musicians dream of. At roughly 30 pounds weight, 300 watts stereo, and DSP effects, the JBL EON210P delivers the goods with very little hassle. We made our way to the massive Harman Complex at Winter NAMM and caught up with Richard at JBL. Grab a cappuccino and get cozy.

The New JBL EON515XT at Winter NAMM 2011

We LOVE good music.  Who doesn't, yeah?  It's important to have good reliable instruments, DJ gear, and microphones in order to give a good solid performance. Probably just as important is what type of amplifier and speaker you use to play your music through. We have thoroughly enjoyed JBL's EON series for many years and now they have continued their awesome legacy with the introduction of the sweet new EON515XT. They've given us more power (625W), and a higher input gain (132db) than the previous 515 and added separate bass and treble controls to fine tune your sound. We have already received them and they are ready to ship today. Enjoy! Transcript:

Scott: Hi, this is scott magno DJ Madflip. We're back again Winter NAMM 2011. We're here at JBL to talk about the new EON series with Richard. We love the product, now he's going to tell us why we love it even more.

Richard: So I know you guys sell a lot of EON 515's, so, what we're showing here is the new EON 515XT. This is the toughest, smartest, most impressive EON we've ever made. What we've done with it is, we've given it a more professional, discreet, appearance.

It's black. Black grill, charcoal EON badge, and we've taken the orange logo and made it a little more discreet, it's a little black but, the real action happens inside.

We've increased the input sensitivity by 10db. Here's the business end of it. We've made the input panel much easier to understand and we've eliminated the Preset EQ's and added bass and treble, and that puts the control back into your hands.

If you want it to be a little beefier just add some bass, we've increased the output from a 129db to 132 db, it doesn't sound like much but it makes a big difference when you guys are out there doing your gigs. Overall we've re-tuned the system. I think it's the most musical EON we've ever made.
