Most of the Earth's population has moved to Mars and other habitable planets after a nuclear war ravaged the planet. The rest of the people that refused to leave are widely scattered. Some avoid the radiation and live. Some die from it. Regular humans visit Earth for the first time since leaving to discover the ones that mutated.
