With the largest issue resolved every single kid found themselves with a lot of time on their hands. This time was commonly spent sharing stories. Stories brought the children together and that was especially true for Malik and Kyle. Previously they’d just had brief conversations and then sort of took turns hogging Ed but one day thanks to a beer tbh Kyle wondered aloud about Ed’s school days and Malik was too happy to answer. Ed was elated when he first saw them dying from laughter but that disappeared when he heard which tale Malik was reliving with his boyfriend. He was double betrayed when his own boyfriend got Malik to tell the story of how Ed got trapped in the Headmaster’s closet for two hours wearing Only football shorts to Small Sam and The Kid.

Ed thought it would be too weird having his boyfriend and his old crush (bc i mean c’mon guys you Know Ed had a crush on Malik who didn’t) in the same vicinity but they are fitting together so well and spending time with them both simultaneously is a gift in itself.

But the gift has problems. Ed is feeling guilty because even though he loves Kyle with all his heart his heart is also really backtracking to the crush on Malik that’s documented by many now-deceased notebooks and the deceased jack pls don’t kill me fellas while loving Kyle and he’s Confuzzled. He tells the whole thing to Hayden while groggy from a night shift and in true Hayden Style she smacks him with a glove across the face and tells him she’s been dating Partha AND Kinsey for months Ed Carter you thick sicko dribble pay attention.

With the loving support fresh in his mind he rushes to tell Malik and Kyle, completely cutting them off with a big speech. After he finishes the two burst into laughter because they were literally just about to tell him the same thing.

Now they’re all on the same page Malik is moved into their bedroom pronto and adds his special touches including many Ella drawings. Speaking of, the kids take it well and take it upon themselves to organise a wedding. Jordan firmly declines the role of walking the three down the aisle (one by one according to the kiddos) so a giggling Tomoki snatches up the job with glee. Ella officiates the wedding with a Serious Face as it’s a Serious Job. Small Sam is best man wearing a knights costume (despite having plenty of other clothes) and The Kid is the maid of honour rocking lil heels that he stumbles cutely in. 13/10 amazing and hilarious experience Jordan catches all 3 bouquets (of daisies).

tldr: a family can be a boyfriend, a boyfriend, another boyfriend and their son, their other son and their daughter.

The world needs Short Jordan headcanons (based off that One Post about his coat dragging)

i’m always ready to make random headcanons any time any day 

his assistants are both taller than he is. it isn’t a coincidence. he gets them to reach tall things. 

Jordan trips over his clothes All The Time because there isn’t a good tailor in the Tower and he refuses to wear anything but army uniform

he has to scrunch up his sleeves if he wants to do anything 

he is just too damn smol

there is a secret group of kids who talk behind his back because he would kill them about how adorable and teeny he is

Kyle calls him The Little General That Could at almost any opportunity. Ed Tries not to laugh or encourage Kyle but he doesn’t succeed 

Bright Eyes has knocked Jordan over on multiple occasions 

chairs are shortened The Twits style so he can reach the floor 

new kids need to be briefed about the big scary leader nobody will cross if they value their life’s “height issue” so they don’t piss themselves laughing 

there are boxes around the Tower specifically positioned and kept so he can give commands at a reasonable height

as soon as he gains wind of Kwanele’s Talents he immediately gets all of his clothes fitted so he can function. Kwanele is amazing but god does he talk. Jordan has Learned His Lesson about hurting peoples feelings so he doesn’t tell him to shut up but by the time he’s done he knows every little detail about everyone in London and their love lives
