Who would steal a kid's bird what the hell. Also tampering with other peoples birds?? This is why I tell people to be around their birds as much as possible at the show because there are bird thieves.
I would say out of all the categories it seems to be the juniors who are always the group that gets stolen from and it makes me so angry. Last year at a different show a bunch of serama got stolen from a kid.
I really think the poultry shows should invest in security cameras for the shows as it would greatly deter people from stealing since at poultry shows a lot of people know or recognize each other. If funds are an issue then hold a silent auction with some nice birds to fund it. I would easily hand over a pair of birds for free for an auction if it ment kids didnt get their birds taken!
