Stop 40: Charlottetown, PEI
Charlottetown is the last city in our travels through Atlantic Canada until we head to Quebec. In order to get to the island, we got the chance to drive across the confederation bridge, a 12.9km bridge that links New Brunswick to PEI across the Northumberland Strait. Charlottetown is the birthplace of Canadian confederation which was signed in 1867.
PEI has beautiful scenery being an island in the Atlantic and has interesting heritage, local eats and friendly people. Our venue was the University of PEI where we were warmly welcomed and visited by both jr high/high school students as well as university students interested in science. We also visited the famous Cows Creamery ice cream shop!
This visit is also a special one for me (Nick) since this is my last venue of the tour! I’ve been lucky enough to travel across Canada doing something I love, inspiring people and learning about our great country. It has been an incredible year and I will miss you all! I’m looking forward to hearing the stories as the crew continues with the tour!
