Yellow dress? Blue dress? Green dress? NO-- no, no no. Holly huffed in frustration, her bed covered in a pile of clothes. Why didn’t she have more options? After another few minutes of frantically searching, she opted for pink lace dress. It wasn’t -- the best choice, but it would have to do ( and she was running short on time ). The girl grabbed her curling iron, successfully adding waves to her normally flat hair ( without burning herself ). Lastly, came the make up -- eye liner, mascara, and pink lip gloss; something girly, something youthful. Something that suited Holly, for she didn’t want to look too dressy.
Not when she was only meeting an angel from across the fence. Meeting an angel to ask him science questions. Something about the birth and death of stars, of how their life cycles spanned. Something completely irrelevant in the grand scheme of things, but at least he answered all her questions ( and he seemed to know everything ). Still, Holly wasn’t sure why she looked forward to these meetings; they were hardly anything to brag about. If anything, the ballerina was catching up all on the education she was currently missing from being confined in Paradise. That and... and her teacher had been ( attractive ) wise.
Making her way to the fence, Holly clenched her journal. She looked relatively the same yet felt different. As if her end goal hadn’t been to learn something of importance, but rather to ENAMOR a certain someone. Shaking her head, the girl trying to get rid of these thoughts. This was Elijah, and while he looked young, falling for an angel surely had to break some law of ethics. Nonetheless, that didn’t stop her heart from nearly skipping a beat when she spied him from across the yard.
Waiting for him to get closer, the girl finally admitted, “.. sorry, I’m late I -- ”
I wanted to look good for you.
“ -- I forgot to finish my homework?”
